Spring 2015 One Room Challenge: Week Five

I feel like the past week has been a complete whirlwind of sawdust, paint, and sewing!! This is Week Five of the ORC and while I would love to say I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel; I'm sad to say that right now, I'm just feeling the pressure! To learn more about the ORC and see my plans for my breakfast room makeover check out week one, two, three, and four here.

I don't have a lot of pretty pictures to share of my progress but I will share a few quick pictures that I took from my phone.

I installed the shelves above the cabinets and took this picture in the midst of sanding and painting. I'm loving how the new wall color brings out the colors of the outside in. Our house feels like a tree house this time of year; it's definitely my favorite thing about our home!!

I'm still working on the piece of artwork to put in between the sconces on the cabinet wall. I am definitely not an artist and I'm having an unbelievably hard time figuring out how to incorporate the coral and deeper blues and greens that I would like to tie in from my fabric selections. If you look closely you can see where my adorable two year old "helped" me with my painting by adding a few abstract crayon marks to the canvas. :)

I still have a lot to do to complete my room and there is less than a week left (I need at least a day to stage the room and take pictures). I'm off to knock out a few projects, and you should check out all of the other incredible room makeovers here at Calling It Home.
