Spring 2015 One Room Challenge: Week Two

Welcome to week two of the One Room Challenge! If you missed week one you can check it out here. I have four weeks left to complete my breakfast nook makeover and I can definitely feel the pressure starting to build!!

Last week I shared some inspiration photos and the awful before pictures of my little breakfast nook. This week I thought I would give you a better idea of what I'm hoping my completed room will feel like. A lot of my projects for the room are DIY so the items in my mood board are not the exact pieces I will be using but they have a similar feel.

I am pulling colors from my beloved Chiang Mai fabric because I am using it in my living room that opens up to the breakfast nook. Here is what the fabric I am using for the dining bench looks like with the Chiang Mai. I love how versatile the fabric is and how well it pulls out the aqua and green from the Chiang Mai.

I'm still debating on the accent pillow fabrics. I'm loving this cheetah print in coral but I may end up using it for another project so I am currently on the fence about it.

I am creating a piece of art to go between the sconces on the main wall in the nook. It will have a similar abstract feel to the Melissa McKinnon piece that I featured in my mood board (isn't it BEAUTIFUL?!?!?).

I am looking for a cheaper version of the bamboo chairs that I featured in my moodboard. I found some similar to these on Craigslist, fingers crossed that I can get them this week.

Hopefully you now have a better idea of my plan, follow me on Instagram to see my progress this weekend!

Be sure to check out all of the fabulous inspiration from the other linking participants here and all of the unbelievably talented participants here.

  13. You had me at Chiang Mai! And I love the other fabrics you chose to coordinate with it. This is going to be an amazing room! Originally I had wanted to do my dining room for this ORC but with too much craziness I settled on the kids' bath. Next time. Can't wait to watch your progress! :)
