Spring 2015 One Room Challenge: Week Four

Thank you for stopping by to check out week four of my One Room Challenge. I'm currently redesigning my breakfast room and only have two weeks left to complete it  To see my progress and get all of the details about the One Room Challenge please click here.

As I predicted last week, I am officially stressed over this room makeover. I did not get everything completed that I needed to last week, so I have that much more to do this week. Words cannot describe how tired I get just thinking about the next two weeks...the next fourteen days are going to fly by faster than recess did in the third grade, if you get what I'm saying!!

Even though I didn't get everything done that I needed to, I was able to cross a few things off of the to do list last week.  I painted the cabinet wall white and the other three walls the perfect shade of a pale aqua/blue. I also completed 80% of the cushion for the bench. I decided to go with option three for the shelves and started to build them over the weekend.

I also narrowed down my fabric selection for pillows. I have a few different ideas for accent piping on the pillows and I can't wait to share it with you guys next week!

I also made a few tassels for the space, in case you didn't know I LOVE me some tassels!!

Here is the my to do list for the next two weeks:

  • Install doors on cabinets
  • Upholstered back for bench
  • Cushion for bench- almost complete!!
  • Pillows for bench
  • Artwork- almost complete
  • Change window treatment
  • Change light fixture- order
  • Table and chairs- scored the chairs on craigslist, need to paint them
Typing out my to do list is just adding to my stress so I'm off to get some things done!! Wish me luck!

Be sure to check out all of the fabulous inspiration from the other linking participants here and all of the unbelievably talented participants here.

  5. I love that faux bamboo chair and the fabric is fab! It's going to look even better with piping! I do love tassels too and if I didn't have little ones pulling on everything I would probably decorate more with them. This is going to be so fab, just remember that and forget about all the things on the to do list. Let's do this! Sarah, Sarah Sofia Productions
